Assignment for Concept

Instruction for Submission of Assignments: Assignments should be submitted directly on Blackboard.  In rare situations assignments can be sent directly by email to the instructor. Submission should follow these rules:

  1. Include a terse summary (not more than 1 sentence for each question) at start of your submission or in a separate file.  In the summary indicate if your responses agrees with responses posted to the open web site.
  2. Submit your answers in a Jupyter Notebook Download► YouTube► Slides►
  3. Submit your answers in Blackboard.

Task 1: Using PubMed, identify all studies that have used mobile devices (including phone and watch) for detection of depression.  Make a master list of what factors these studies have found to predict depression and over what time period is the mobile device or watch data collected.

Task 2: Use publicly available ChatGPT to see what physiological measures in watch and phones predict depression. Copy paste the response from ChatGPT into your file and indicate that it was generated by ChatGPT.  Discuss how your responses to question 1 and 2 differ and why.

Task 3: How many ICD-9 codes are used to indicate depression?  How many ICD-10 codes are used to indicate depression? Is possible for a depressed patient not to have a code in his primary care medical record?
