Rate Ideas for Extent of System Thinking

Here is an  idea for changing a personal habit.  Please rate it regarding whether it is a system change or increased personal effort.

  1. Does not rely on personal motivation?
  2. Does it change the person indirectly by changing the environment?
  3. Once done, does it stay done?  Once the change is done once, would it follow automatically in the future?
  4.  If it fails to affect exercise or diet, is it no one's fault and is it true that no one should be blamed?
  5. If plans fail, is there no point in trying again and harder?
  6. Does it rely on memory or commitment?
  7. Does it indirectly affect the desired behavior (e.g. eating less or exercising more)?
  8. It is a change in a reoccurring life routine (e.g. commuting, washing, sleeping, etc.)
  9. Does it require more than one person to bring it about?
  10. If the idea is implemented, will it affect the desired behavior (e.g. exercise more or eat less) in the future or  today?
  11. Does it lead to diet or exercise as part of another task?
  12. Does it involve a physical change?
  13. Does it enable one to have the needed time and resources to carry out the desired behavior?
  14. Does it change social patterns of who I go out with and how often?
  15. Does it affect others who live with the person implementing the change?
  16. Does it change what one does for fun & entertainment?
  17. Does it leave no choice but to go through with the plans?  
  18. Does it change a group activity or affect a group of people?
  19. If it fails to work, does it give one new insights about what to do next time?
  20. Does it rearrange the sequence of daily living activities?
