Amy Filmore Nassar FNP, CDE

Amy has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1998. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings over the past ten years, including a busy rural family practice, a homeless clinic in Maryland, a diabetes institute at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and a cardiology practice at George Washington University Hospital. Amy is currently Faculty at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies where she is a Clinical Faculty Instructor for the Family Nurse Practitioner program and Project Manager of a Community-Based Participatory Research grant with Georgetown University Center on Health and Education and Developing Families Center.  Amy has worked at Developing Families Center since 2007 and started the 2 week post partum Mom/Baby clinic at Family Health and Birth Center in 2008. Most importantly, Amy is the proud mother of Naomi – who was cared for and caught by the midwives of the Family Health and Birth Center in 2007.
